Blackflair is the brainchild of three women Karen Young, Vicki Akuagwu and Heather Jones. They wanted to
create an online magazine for black women that contained the elements they admired in traditional print
magazines and combine it with the dynamism of the world wide web. Blackflair would then be freely
available to women like themselves who wish to be informed, entertained and enlightened by what they
read.
Blackflair is a learning experience for the authors who wish to make this vision a reality. Hopefully
you'll stick with us and maybe contribute as we develop into the professional magazine with
professional standards that we've set out to become.
