Niques Salon in New Cross, South East London offered me a warm welcome as I arrived for my appointment. I took a seat and waited for my treatment during which time I indulged in a lively conversation with the manageress and a couple of bubbly clients, who had been made equally at home.

In between discussion of Jerry Springer and my mouthfuls of tea I took the opportunity to check out the decor. My surroundings followed a natural, earthy theme with green walls throughout, highlighted by wooden detailing and accessories.

Next it was time for my treatment - a moisture conditioning treatment to ‘replenish the hair and make it silky and more manageable’. The highlight of my visit had to be the relaxing massage I received as part of my treatment. Their philosophy is that treatments are applied in this way to ‘ensure the entire head and body benefit from them’. I have to agree that it certainly did me a world of good.
