Bergamot (Citrus Bergomia)
This oil is emerald green in colour, smells spicier than a lemon - used as a flavouring for Earl Grey Tea. Therapeutic effects - has an uplifting and refreshing action, effective in the treatment of mouth and skin infections and sore throats. Can lower fever and help with bronchitis and indigestion.

Camomile (Anthemis nobitis)
This pale blue oil has a slight apple fragrance and is noted for its effectiveness in treating insomnia, menstrual and menopausal problems, indigestion, ulcers. Use also for bathing and hair care.

Comfrey
Comfrey oil is valuable for treating wounds, skin disorders, stretch marks, athletes foot, etc.

Lavender(Lavendulla officinalis)
Lavender was brought to Europe by the Romans. The oil is pale yellow with a strong aroma. Its sedative and tonic effects make lavender a good balancer of the nervous and emotional system. Excellent for migraines, headaches, skin conditions, infections of the lungs and digestion.

Patchouli (Pegostemon Patchouli)
Patchouli is an astringent and is useful for scalp and skin conditions including excema, dandruff, acne and scars. It also has an uplifting effect for depression and anxiety.

Rose(Rosa Centifola)
An aphrodisiac and mood enhancer. This yellowy brown oil is a tonic and is useful for menstrual and menopausal problems and skin disorders, constipation, headaches and mental fatigue. One of the least toxic of all essences, it is particularly good for older drier skins. Use as pot pourri.

Rosemary
A good stimulant especially for the circulation and memory. Also helps alopecia, bronchitis, colds, dandruff, diarrhoea and headaches. Inhale from a hanky to clear headaches and fatigue. Do not use in early regnancy or if you have high blood pressure.

Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia)
The pale green oil has a strong odour and can be used for treating bacterial/fungal infections - ringworm, athlete’s foot, mouth ulcers, thrush, cold sores and verrucas.

Thyme
Helps fatigue and anxiety; best as a natural antiseptic known to effectively treat coughs and infections of the respiratory system. Also good for rheumatic aches. When added to a bath it helps to revive tired muscles.

Ylang - Ylang
This oil can soothe away all forms of stress when used as bath oil or massaged into the body. It is also a good relaxer. Use sparingly can be used also for anxiety, depression and high blood pressure.
